Andromeda is an application
development tool. It is simple
enough to be used by power users,
business analysts, and content
experts, yet powerful enough to be
used by professional developers.
Both the tool and the content
created by the tool are thin-client,
browser-based solutions, which can
be implemented over the World Wide
Web or on an intranet or extranet,
without any client-side
installation.
Andromeda, built
using entirely Microsoft
technologies, is ultimately an ASP
code generator. It reduces data
processing, including: data
collection; manipulation; reporting;
and calculations, to a set of
wizards, whereby simply answering
questions produces screens, menus,
and reports. ASPs created by
Andromeda may then be modified
directly to meet any specialized
needs or changing requirements,
although the need to do so is
typically minimal.
